The Golden Globes is an annual awards ceremony recognizing outstanding international films and television shows of the year. Unlike the Oscars, which focus solely on movies, the Golden Globes honor both films and television shows. This event typically takes place in January, kicking off the awards season!

This year marked the 82nd Golden Globe Awards, with nominees including A Complete Unknown, Dune Part Two, Wicked, Inside Out 2, The Wild Robot, and Squid Game. Categories span a wide range of achievements, a few of which being Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy, Cinematic and Box Office Achievement, Best Original Song – Motion Picture, and Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama. 

Some notable winners of this year were Shogun for Best Television Series, “El Mal” from Emilia Perez for Best Original Song – Motion Picture, and Wicked for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement.
