The frozen pond is open to walk across during the winter. Fall is a perfect time to walk around the pond for a scenic view. You can also visit the single-room cabin of Henry David Thoreau, a famous philosopher.
2. Mount Misery
Mount Misery is a trail in Lincoln, MA. You can walk up the trail to see 227 acres of beautiful fields and ponds. Admission for this hike/trail is free.
3. Wachusett Mountain
In the winter, Wachusett Mountain (Princeton, MA), is a popular skiing destination. Now you can go there to hike or bike up the mountain, seeing the fall trees on your way. Admission is 5 dollars for Massachusetts residents.
